Stop aging and start living!
People spend thousands of dollars every year trying to feel good, look good, and stop aging. However, most of these treatments are local and work only superficially and temporarily.
Beauty comes from inside! When your body is healthy inside, it shows outside.
After the age of 45, the aging process accelerates and women begin to feel tired and gain weight; they develop anxiety, depression, insomnia, irritability, mood swings, low sex drive, vaginal dryness, and painful intercourse. Women at this stage in their lives avoid intimacy, causing consequences in their personal relationships. This leads to a lack of motivation, hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, and recurrent urinary infections. The risk for heart attack, stroke, osteoporosis, dementia and cancer increases. This is menopause!
Some symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats will disappear but the complications of menopause will increase. What this means is that the patient’s ovaries stopped functioning and there is no more production of estrogen and progesterone. These hormones are the fountain of youth: without them the aging process will progress and the signs of aging will become more noticeable. The skin will get thin and wrinkle, the hair will fall more than usual, muscle and bone mass will decrease; fat tissue will increase especially in the belly area; brain function will be affected leading to depression, poor cognition and dementia.
Many patients think that menopause has passed once the symptoms disappear. Unfortunately, they don’t understand that the complications are usually silent and will develop slowly. Once osteoporosis, dementia, hair loss, vaginal atrophy, thinned skin, cancer, etc. are present, they are difficult to reverse.
Fortunately there is treatment available to stop these symptoms and to slow the aging process.
Unfortunately, many patients will choose not to get the benefits of the treatment and will prefer to live miserably for the next 30-40 years of their lives because of fear of developing cancer due to misinformation propagated by the internet, uninformed doctors, friends or families who still believe that hormones equal cancer. How sad it is to see them struggling through life due to an unsubstantiated fear.
Many years ago the only treatment available for menopause was the use of synthetic, man-made hormones which caused many complications like heart attacks, blood clots, strokes and cancer. Most studies about hormones were done with synthetic hormones and not with natural or bioidentical hormones. Doctors were advised to stop prescribing hormones and to use antidepressants instead to treat symptoms of menopause. They labeled hormones bad and dangerous and unfortunately many people including doctors still believe this is true and recommend their patients not to use hormones.
In the late 1930 bioidentical or natural hormones were discovered and brought light to women in menopause. Unlike synthetic hormones, bioidentical hormones obtained from the plants, share the same structure of the human hormones, making them less likely to cause complications. Even when these hormones were discovered in the 1930s their use was obstructed by the pharmaceutical companies who promoted their synthetic version.
Many studies and their use in millions of patients since 1930 have proven their efficacy and safety. Sadly the insurance companies still consider them experimental and refuse coverage.
It is important to notice that the mode of administration of these hormones play a tremendous role in improving efficacy and preventing complications. The use of hormones in menopause has to resemble the same way the body produces and distributes the hormones throughout the body before menopause; which means the hormones are produced daily and released slowly directly in to the blood vessels and distributed to the whole body, skipping the liver, who will transform the hormones into a different structure. Taking hormones by mouth violates this principle and causes most of the consequences.
Bioidentical hormones are released directly into the blood when used as a cream or best as a subcutaneous implant or pellet form, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract.
The slow and steady release of the hormone pellets into the blood, when placed on the subcutaneous tissue, makes this method the most effective and safe way to use hormones.
The body uses what it needs and when it needs it, over a period of 3-4 months. Compared to topical creams and patches which depend of the permeability and condition of the skin?
Vaginal creams are also effective but they occasionally cause itching and compliance is low.
It is also important to understand that the hormones need to be balanced. Woman needs estrogen, progesterone and testosterone.
We use estradiol which is the most effective and neutral estrogen. Estrogen is the happy hormone, progesterone is the sleeping/calming hormone and testosterone is the energy hormone responsible for well-being, sex drive and bone health. They all need to be administered individually, at the right dose to avoid side effects.
Once the therapeutic levels are achieved, you feel motivated, energetic, relaxed, confident and happy. Sleep and sex drive return to normal, improving her personal relationships. You will be able to lose weight, feeling attractive again. Brain function is stimulated by the hormones improving irritability, brain fog, depression and emotional instability. The aging process slows down!
You get to feel normal again!
Stop being afraid and get your life back!
